Job Outlook

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, health care has been one of the country’s largest industries. And as the population grows, so does the need for qualified medical professionals, like ophthalmic medical technicians, who will be able to provide proper care for aging or diseased eyes.*

Licensure and Certification

Our Ophthalmic Medical Technician training program will prepare you for the national technicians certifying exam administered by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO). Graduates may also pursue additional certification in ophthalmic photography, ultrasound, low vision and surgical assisting.
