Our East Valley campus serves the suburban Phoenix areas of Mesa, Gilbert and Apache Junction and is located just off of the US60 and Power Road. The campus offers one associate degree program and six certificate programs.

Programs Offered On This Campus

Medical Assistant

Program Length: Approximately
9 Months

In this program, students will learn how to work closely with all members of a medical team, including doctors and nurses. Medical assistants perform a range of clinical and clerical duties and act as a liaison between patients and doctors. Courses will focus on anatomy, routine laboratory procedures and frequent patient care procedures. Pima Medical’s training prepares students to begin working in the field with confidence immediately upon graduation.

Medical Billing and Coding

Program Length: Approximately
9 Months

In this program, students will learn the vital link medical billing and coding plays in connecting providers, patients and insurance companies. Courses will focus on computer basics, billing procedures, advanced medical terminology, medical coding and medical law and ethics. This is a blended program with courses conducted both online and on campus.

Nursing Assistant/Nurse Aide

Program Length: Approximately
6 Weeks

In this program, students will learn how to assist patients with daily activities, maintain patient hygiene, assist with patient charting/documentation and assist doctors and nurses in diagnostic procedures and treatments. Students will learn about infection control, emergency procedures, interpersonal skills and much more.

Phlebotomy Technician

Program Length: Approximately
3 Months

In this program, students will learn how to assist patients with the collection of blood and other clinical specimens. Pima Medical’s hands-on courses focus on blood draws, putting patients at ease, correct labeling and identity verification and processing specimens for testing.

Veterinary Assistant

Program Length: Approximately
9 Months

In this program, students will learn how to assist veterinarians with various responsibilities, including administrative and medical duties. Courses will focus on in-office procedures, animal nursing, laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, surgical procedures and many other vital elements to a veterinary assistant’s role.

Veterinary Technician

In this program, you will be able to manifest your animal-loving dreams and work in a field dedicated to animal care. Learn about animal behavior, surgical assisting, testing procedures and more. This program offers a unique blended learning experience, with some instruction conducted online and some in-person. Your hands-on expertise will be gained working in well-equipped animal hospital settings.

Mesa

Mesa

Located in the greater Phoenix area, our Mesa campus features some of the most sophisticated labs among medical trade schools. Whether you’re making dental molds in the real-world lab, learning to help patients in the occupational therapy lab or working in the seven-bed high-fidelity nursing simulation lab, you’ll use the same equipment found in today’s hospitals and clinics.

Like all of our campuses, the Mesa location will give hands-on learning opportunities with instructors who prepare you for a real-world medical career and are dedicated to your success.

In this program, students will learn how to prepare and provide medications for patients. Courses will focus on preparing medication, compounding medications, interacting with those in the medical field such as doctors and nurses, operating automated dispensing equipment and much more. Students will receive professional and clinical training that prepares them for the daily responsibilities of a pharmacy technician.

Nursing

Program Length: Approximately
20 months

In this program, you will learn a broad range of areas that nurses are expected to work in such as, labor and delivery, pediatrics, surgery, trauma and more. Your career as a nurse will be unique each day to meet the needs of your patients. You will acquire the skills needed to work as an entry-level nurse and will be prepared to sit for the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses.

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Program Length: Approximately
20 Months

In this program, you will learn how to provide treatments for those who need to learn how to function independently in their homes and during daily activities. You will take courses that focus on anatomy, growth and development, kinesiology, mental health and many other important areas of focus. Your coursework will utilize real-world labs that prepare you for the workforce.

Physical Therapist Assistant

Program Length: Approximately
18 Months

In this program, learn how to help patients improve their mobility and movement following an injury or illness. Courses in this program focus on preparing you for a variety of tasks required on the job such as conducting exercise, performing massages, applying hot and cold packs and assisting in traction and other treatments. You will learn these skills in a truly hands-on experience at Pima Medical.

Radiography

Program Length: Approximately
24 Months

In this program, you will learn how to perform medical diagnostic imaging examinations. Courses will focus on anatomy, equipment protocols, radiation safety and other important areas of focus so you’re equipped with the skills needed to be successful in the field. Our real-world labs use the same equipment you’ll be working with in hospitals or clinics, so you don’t skip a beat on your first day on the job.

Respiratory Therapy

Program Length: Approximately
21 Months

In this program, you will study a broad range of respiratory health skills, including but not limited to advanced respiratory care techniques, pharmacology, cardiopulmonary disease, patient assessment and more. The day-to-day responsibilities of a respiratory therapist are as wide-ranging and unique as the patients they treat. You will also be qualified to handle critical care and emergencies related to respiratory issues.

Phoenix

Phoenix

Our Phoenix campus, which opened in 2015, serves Glendale, Peoria, Sun City, Goodyear, Scottsdale and other nearby western Phoenix cities. The campus offers seven certificate programs and three associate degree programs for your medical career training.

The Phoenix location, like all of our campuses, gives you hands-on learning opportunities with instructors who are focused on your success and prepare you for a real-world medical career.

In this program, students will learn how to maintain cleanliness, functionality and inventory of healthcare instruments and equipment. From the very first semester, Pima Medical provides a hands-on learning environment with courses in this program that focus on the critical steps of sterilization, microbiology and infection control, infection control practices and providing equipment access to the rest of the medical team as needed.

Veterinary Assistant

9 Months

In this program, students will learn how to assist veterinarians with various responsibilities, including administrative and medical duties. Courses will focus on in-office procedures, animal nursing, laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, surgical procedures and many other vital elements to a veterinary assistant’s role.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Program Length: Approximately

In this program, you will learn to utilize specialized equipment to create sonograms, also known as ultrasound scans, and take a look inside the human body and aid in medical diagnosis. You will learn a mix of soft and hard skills, studying pathophysiology, scanning techniques, patient care, ethics and more. From the very first semester, you'll get hands-on experience.

Surgical Technology

In this program, you will learn the ins and outs of surgical technology, including, but not limited to: preparing operating rooms, using equipment for surgical procedures, advocating for patient safety, managing a sterile field throughout the operation and many other important elements to surgery. A hands-on job requires hands-on training, so we ensure you are taught everything you need to feel confident on your first day on the job.

Tucson

Tucson

Located at the former site of Townsend Middle School, the Flagship campus encompasses a 50,000 square foot building and 25,000 square foot courtyard. The former school was repurposed and the interior has been completely remodeled to showcase large classrooms, spacious study areas, real-world labs and training facilities as well as a nursing simulation lab with arena seating.

Founded in Tucson in 1972, this new campus cements the legacy of our founder, Richard Luebke Sr., and further illustrates the commitment to the community, students and staff.
