Bachelor's Degree Program

 

The BSRS online radiography course degree program is offered online, giving students the flexibility to manage their education around work, family and other personal responsibilities. The program content offers a variety of subjects including courses in advanced level radiography and health care administration.

 

The dynamic curriculum will provide students with overarching insight into radiologic health care administration. It will prepare students to develop professional leadership skills, acquire advanced knowledge of radiologic procedures, gain exposure to health care administration and apply critical thinking to their personal and professional lives. Q: How does online education work?

Pima Medical Institute’s online radiography course programs are taught via the Internet, allowing for schedule flexibility to help you balance school, family, work and other personal commitments. These programs feature a rigorous curriculum and dedicated instructors and staff, just like you’d expect at one of Pima Medical Institute’s physical locations. Each online class is led by an instructor, and you will be part of a virtual class of other students.

 

Q: Will I be required to be online at a particular time?

No, you do not need to be online at any specific time. You can access your class from any computer with an Internet connection, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

 

Q: Do I have to come to campus?

No, you don’t have to come to a physical campus location while enrolled in an online radiography course program at Pima Medical Institute.

 

Q: What are the goals of the BSRS program?

Upon completion of the program, graduates will hold a bachelor’s degree and have a strong foundation of higher education. In addition, graduates will:

Q: What does “fast track” mean?

Fast Track means that an applicant is transferring additional credits beyond the required 70 credits needed to enroll in the BSRS program. By transferring additional credits, students will be able to complete the program in less time. Transfer credit is determined on an individual basis by the campus director and program director.

 

Q: Will my previous college credits transfer?

Students can transfer into the BSRS from most U.S. Radiography programs, both certificate and degree.

 

Admission to the program requires that an applicant have completed a total of 70 semester credits of specific coursework at the postsecondary level. The content of these 70 transfer credits shall consist of 15 general education credits, 46 radiography technical credits and 9 related credits. Pima Medical Institute has additional online radiography courses for applicants not transferring 70 credits.

 

Q: How long is the program? How often will I be required to be online?

The BSRS program consists of 60 weeks of content, or 70 weeks including semester breaks. Individual completion time may vary by student depending on individual progress and credits transferred.

 

Q: What types of jobs can I get from this degree?

The BSRS degree prepares graduates for management and leadership roles in their field. They can also branch into other areas such as medical or equipment sales or education which will require a bachelor’s degree or higher.

Program Length

  • Current ARRT certification*.

  • Current employment in radiography or graduation from a radiography program within
    the last five years.
