Admission Requirements and Enrollment Procedures
Many factors such as a prospective student's desire, motivation, and ability will be considered before an applicant will be accepted as a student. Students are accepted only if we believe they will benefit from the training program they have selected. Eligible students are accepted without regard to sex, national origin, age, or religion.
Applicants under legal age must have written approval of a parent or legal guardian. Students who are of compulsory school age may not enroll unless they have a high school diploma.
Candidates for admission should have a high school diploma or recognized GED equivalent. A high school transcript or evidence of satisfactory completion of GED testing will be requested of applicants, prior to starting class. Prospective students who do not have a high school diploma or GED, and are 18 years of age or older, may be accepted for enrollment in some programs if the applicants achieve a passing score on a federally approved test.
All applicants must take an entrance exam and pass with a minimum score. (This requirement may be waived for applicants, except in California, with official academic transcripts or certificate showing proof of completion of Associate or higher degree.) All applicants must be interviewed prior to acceptance.
Although not required as a part of the admission requirements, students may request that their ACT score be sent to PMI.
Late enrollments can be accepted (except in California), but only upon approval of the Campus Director .
Any questions regarding programs at Pima Medical Institute, or the admissions process in general, should be referred to the Admissions Department.
