Pima Medical Institute Hosts Open House, Celebrates Vet Tech Program Accreditation at Humane Society

Career college offering tours of state-of-the-art veterinary classroom, Humane Society surgical center

WHAT:

Recently, pets have become more a part of the family than ever before, and pet owners are making sure those family members are being well taken care of – from pricey pet condos and designer duds to costly surgeries and expensive medication with costs that rival that of human health care. As veterinary medicine has grown to compare to health care humans can receive, so too has the demand for skilled veterinary assistants and technicians.

Pima Medical Institute is helping to provide the community with those skilled workers by offering a veterinary assistant certificate program and a new American Veterinary Medical Association-accredited veterinary technician associate’s degree program.

Pima will be hosting an open house where interested individuals can learn more about the veterinary programs offered at the college, take a tour of the state-of-the-art classroom and new surgical center developed through a partnership between Pima Medical Institute and the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.

One of the leading medical career training schools in the western United States, Pima Medical Institute helps prepare students for positions in a variety of disciplines within the health care field. Pima Medical Institute has 11 campuses in six states, including two locations in Colorado.
