What does a Surgical Technologist do?

  • Ensures the operating room is sterilized, safe, equipment is functioning properly and the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety
  • Prepares surgical robotics and endoscopic equipment for use during surgery
  • Assists surgeons during surgery, sterilizes equipment and assembles surgical supplies
