San Marcos Campus Celebrates First Graduation

The campus of California State University-San Marcos was a hub of excitement and energy as students from Pima Medical Institute prepared for the first graduation from the new Pima Medical Institute
San Marcos Campus.
2018 graduates from the San Marcos campus.Surrounded by family, friends, faculty and staff, 94 graduates celebrated their major accomplishments, including certificates of completion in medical assistant, medical administrative assistant, phlebotomy, veterinary assistant as well as associate degrees in respiratory therapy.
“I am proud of our first graduation,” said DeWayne Johnson, Pima Medical Institute San Marcos Campus Director. “The team did a great job at making the event run smoothly and creating a memorable experience for all that attended.”
Fred Freedman, President and CEO of Pima Medical Institute delivered the keynote address. The motivational setting provided him an opportunity to speak to the group of graduates and share with them his pride in watching them make their way into their respective career fields with the training and skills they need to thrive.
The
San Marcos campus currently offers a
respiratory therapy associate degree program. It also offers
dental assistant,
medical administrative assistant,
medical assistant,
pharmacy technician,
phlebotomy technician and
veterinary assistant certificate programs.
