Pima Medical Institute has announced that five campuses have been awarded Triple Crown status for the 2018-2019 Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) reporting year.
Winning campuses and programs are Dillon, Montana Veterinary Technician, Houston Dental Hygiene, Radiography and Respiratory Therapy, Mesa, Arizona Nursing and Radiography, Seattle Dental Hygiene and Radiography and the Tucson Radiography program.
Programs are eligible for the Triple Crown award if student retention, graduate credentialing and placement rates meet or exceed 90 percent.
The prestigious award and its criteria is very difficult to achieve. The award is a recognition of the entire program including all faculty, students and graduates. Especially notable is the work of the program directors.
“When you keep in mind that our Institutional Accreditation benchmark for retention, credentialing and placement is 70 percent, Pima Medical Institute’s outcome in these programs deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated,” said Jen Spurlin, Pima Medical Institute Corporate Director of Education. “The hard work and dedication to the students is best demonstrated when students graduate, get credentialed and become employed. These programs and program directors are a wonderful example of that commitment.”
Achievement of this award illustrates Pima Medical Institute’s commitment to its mission to improve the quality of people’s lives by providing the best value in medical career education.
