Despite the ability to balance commitments, it can sometimes seem like a daunting task to complete a bachelor’s degree, no matter what stage of life a student might find themselves in. Linzy knows that feeling and uses her personal journey to help the students in the program. She was able to get her bachelors’ degree online, while working and told us that her experience helped her get to her current role. Linzy is more than just a program director, she’s been a sort of counselor for her students as well. She’s been in their shoes and can help them when they might feel overwhelmed.

“I know what it’s like to be an online student and in my early 50s,” Linzy said. “I can tell these students that it’s doable.”

Linzy has been with Pima Medical since 2014.  She says the impact the students have on her is immeasurable. “They always say that we impact the students, but I really feel like the students impacted me.”

Linzy added, “One student, in particular, looked me in the eye one day and said, “I hope you get your master’s degree because I think you’d make an awesome program director.”  Linzy said that comment changed her life and ultimately led her to her current career and role with Pima Medical.

“I really feel like I can make a connection with these students,” Linzy added. I tell them, “You can absolutely do this, because I did this.”

The BSRS degree is ideal for individuals who are looking for advancement in their careers. Pima Medical’s curriculum, which is modeled after the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Radiography curriculum, includes courses in Advanced Modalities, Advanced Sectional Anatomy, Advanced Patient Assessment, Health Care Management, Spanish for the Medical Professional and more.

Linzy says, “I’ve got the best job at Pima Medical Institute.”
