What does a Patient Care Technician (PCT) do?
- Provides bedside care, takes vital signs, performs electrocardiography (ECG), blood draws and other needs
- Prepares, initiates and discontinues dialysis treatments of the patient in both hemodialysis and central venous catheters
- Interacts in daily communication with patients, nurses, doctors and patients’ families and advocates for patients’ needs
