What does a Practical Nurse do?

  • administering basic patient care such as changing bandages and inserting catheters
  • providing for the basic comfort of patients and helping with daily activities
  • charting patient care services, including patients’ health concerns, and communicating information to physicians and other medical team members

Students in the Practical Nursing certificate program learn to work in different environments and care for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
