TUCSON, Ariz. (Oct. 22, 2015) -- Tucson’s annual HopeFest is right around the corner, and like years past, Pima Medical Institute students and staff will provide a large portion of the care to those in need of medical assistance.
More than 100 students and staff from
Pima Medical will provide flu shots, glucose and blood pressure checks, vision screenings, reading glasses, teeth cleaning services and tooth extractions to those in need. Last year 16,000 people were served and more than $1.5 million in services and goods were provided.
HopeFest is on Saturday, Oct. 24 and runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kino Stadium. It offers free services and goods on a first-come, first-served basis, including medical, dental, groceries, clothing, haircuts, diapers and other personal care items to adults and children. Dental services start at 5 a.m. and are for adults only.
