Demand for registered nurses remains strong and is expected to keep growing. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook, employment of registered nurses is projected to grow 5 percent from 2024 to 2034, faster than the average for all occupations, with approximately 189,100 openings projected each year on average over the decade. The median annual wage for registered nurses was $93,600 in May 2024.
As Jennifer describes in this episode, nursing also offers flexibility that few careers can match.
