Pima Medical Institute has officially launched the Veterinary Technician associate degree program at our San Marcos campus. For more than 45 years, we have been dedicated to providing students with the in-demand, hands-on education employers expect. Opened in 2017, our San Marcos campus is the newest location serving the San Diego and surrounding community.
Veterinary technicians are passionate about animal care and are dedicated healthcare professionals who nurture the health and well-being of animals through specialized knowledge of animal behavior and care, surgical assisting, laboratory testing and animal care procedures. It’s a rewarding career for an animal lover.
Pima Medical Institute’s San Marcos Campus is located at 111 Campus Way, San Marcos, CA 92078.“Thanks to our hands-on learning and real-world lab classrooms, our veterinary technician students will leave this program qualified to work closely with veterinarians in everything from surgery to lab procedures and more,” said Pima Medical Institute San Marcos Campus Director, DeWayne Johnson. “Upon graduation, our students will find diverse employment opportunities. While some might choose a clinic or veterinary office setting, others might find work in an animal park, or even a zoo treating domestic and exotic animals.”
