Health Care Administration Certificate Program
Start your career in health care administration.
On Campus | Hybrid*
*Hybrid education options not available at all campuses
This certificate program will prepare you with the training to work as a capable entry-level health care administrative assistant. At Pima Medical Institute, you will gain the skills needed to work in health care administration, such as medical insurance procedures, coding and billing tasks, triaging patients and more. Health care administrative assistants are the front face of the medical office, so classes also focus on the soft, professional skills that foster an optimum patient experience.
Health care administrative assistants are key members of any medical office team. This is an entry-level position with many opportunities for growth. While this role does not perform medical work on patients, it provides vital support to doctors and nurses by ensuring the office is run smoothly and efficiently.
This Program Now Offers a Hybrid Learning Option
Students interested in this program who are looking for additional flexibility for their schedules might find blended learning is the best fit.
As a Hybrid student, you will still benefit from the same support students enrolled in our on campus programs receive, including mental health resources, student services, career services, resume writing and more.

“I visited the school and found my place, enrolling in Health Care Administration Certificate afternoon program. I continued working retail and would often do a morning shift, attend afternoon classes, and then work an evening shift. Even though I was busy, I had a great experience at Pima Medical! Everyone was welcoming and supportive and my instructors were available for one-on-one help whenever I needed it.”
