Pima Medical Institute has launched our new
Surgical Technology associate degree program at the
Chula Vista campus.
For more than 45 years, our college has been dedicated to providing students with the in-demand, hands-on education employers expect. The Chula Vista campus has been serving the San Diego and surrounding community since 1998.
Surgical technologists work side-by-side with doctors and nurses in the operating room, making sure each procedure goes as smoothly and precisely as possible. They are a critical part of the operating team and employers* are seeking people to fill these roles.
Surgical technology tools.“Our surgical technology students learn to become the go-to person on the surgical team,” said Pima Medical Institute Chula Vista Campus Director, Lou Osborn. “In addition to ensuring the operating room is safe, our students learn the use of physics and information technology. Our Chula Vista campus has already begun enrolling students for the Surgical Technology program. Those interested in applying are encouraged to tour the campus and meet the instructors by calling 888-442-5998. More information about the program may also be found at
