Staying Connected: Pima Medical Institute’s Continuing Commitment to Alumni

Follow your passion for a career in healthcare and make a difference.

Pima Medical Institute has surpassed 120,000 graduates since its establishment in 1972.  And, while that number is impressive, so is our commitment to our alumni. Students at Pima Medical truly become part of a family, with lifelong support.

A key component in our college’s robust alumni program is June Gudeman, the alumni coordinator. Gudeman works tirelessly to outreach to former students and shares their stories, keeping the whole Pima family up-to-date on what our former students are accomplishing. While keeping in touch with former students, Gudeman works with all of our campuses to create opportunities for students to reconnect with their former classmates.

A recent alumni reunion event was held for certificate program students at our Mesa campus. Hundreds of people were on hand to catch up, share stories and chat with faculty, staff and current students.

You are a small army of ambassadors for the college. What you do is so very important and we always want to be able to stay connected to you. We want you to know we are always here for you, even after you graduate.”

The Mesa campus offers associate degree programs in: Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Paramedic, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiography, Respiratory Therapy. Certificate programs include Dental Assistant, Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant/Nurse Aide and Pharmacy Technician.

Just a few weeks ago, the Denver campus was buzzing with excitement as it hosted an alumni event to celebrate 30 years of serving its community.

Ryan Minic, Denver Campus Director welcomed the crowd of hundreds and let the alumni know just how proud he is of them. “We are truly fortunate to have such talented professionals like our alumni, representing PMI in the Community.”

Also in attendance was Sue Anderson, the first Campus Director in Denver. Anderson was honored for her commitment to the college.

“It was great,” Anderson said. “It was a wonderful experience. “I can’t say enough. It’s really all about the students. It always has been and that is what employees are so passionate about, is seeing our students go out in the field and go out and work in their professions.”
