Yes. One of this program’s unique features is the choice of tracks in your third semester. Upon enrollment, you’ll choose between focused coursework in leadership (Management in Medical Imaging) or education (Education Foundations for Allied Health Professionals).

The Management track (RA 450) covers the operational and leadership skills needed to run a medical imaging department, including resource management, workflow efficiency and navigating emerging imaging technologies. The Education track (EDU 450) covers educational theory and adult learning principles, preparing you to teach in settings like patient and community education, staff development, or clinical and academic instruction. Choose Management if you’re aiming for a department leadership role, or Education if you’re interested in teaching future imaging professionals.

You’ll study courses like advanced modalities, advanced sectional anatomy, advanced patient assessment and much more. With dedicated attention from instructors experienced in their field, you’ll be able to advance your career in medical imaging and confidently prepare for opportunities in management/leadership roles.
You’ll complete a Professional Capstone in your final semester: a real-world application project tied to your current imaging career, plus a professional e-portfolio you can use to showcase your advanced skills to employers.
An associate degree is sufficient to practice as a radiologic technologist, but a bachelor’s degree can open additional access to many of the management, education and quality improvement roles outlined above, roles that typically require or prefer a four-year degree. Some education or instructor roles may require a bachelor’s degree as a minimum qualification.
