How to Become a Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy technicians play an important role in healthcare. As a pharmacy technician, you are the liaison between doctors, pharmacists and patients. You help people get the medications they need. Pharmacy technicians are a literal lifeline for many people. As a pharmacy technician, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and providing medications. You will also assist in providing other healthcare products and perform various other duties that a pharmacist may need help with.

So how do you become a pharmacy technician? There are several options, but the recommended route is to attend an accredited school that will prepare you to take and pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam.
