Paying for School

There are many types of funding options available for students. Financial aid is available for those who qualify, and our team of financial services professionals can help you through the process.

Filling Out Your FAFSA:

To begin the process of applying for financial aid, each student must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), at this link:
For students enrolling in the Health Care Administration Associate Degree:
  • – If you are physically located in New Mexico at the time of enrollment, use the OPEID code: 036783
  • – If you are physically located in Arizona at the time of enrollment, use the OPEID code 041771
  • – For all other applicants, use OPEID code: 015666

For students enrolling in all other online programs: use OPEID code: 015666

Some questions to consider:

  • Have you used financial aid in the past?
  • What is your plan for paying for school?
  • Do you have any savings set aside for your education?
  • Who else is involved in helping you financially?

What's Next

We’re here to help you take the next step in the admissions process — pre-qualifying you for the program.

We’ll help walk you through the application submission step-by-step so you feel confident in knowing what to expect.

Our team is here to help you transfer previous education credits from other institutions or from Pima Medical, and review licensure requirements where applicable.

Transcript Requirements

Official transcripts must be provided to award credit. Courses being considered for transfer credit must be from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by USDE or CHEA. Applicants presenting a transcript for evaluation of credits from a school outside the U.S. must have their transcripts evaluated by an agency that attests to the qualitative and quantitative equivalency of the foreign education for the specific course(s) to be transferred. Evaluation report expiration dates vary based on the agency. The agency must be a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES®) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE®).

A high school transcript or evidence of satisfactory completion of GED testing will be requested of applicants prior to starting class.

How to Request a Transcript

From Pima Medical:
Visit alumni.pmi.edu/transcript and login with your Pima Medical credentials to request your transcripts.

From Another School:
Visit parchment.com, studentclearinghouse.org or www.ged.com/life_after_ged, or contact your previous institution directly to request transcripts.

Foreign Evaluations:
Applicants who have attended an educational institution located outside of the United States and are using their education for admission or transfer of credit must have their transcripts evaluated by a NACES or AICE endorsed-members/ approved agency that attests to the equivalency of the foreign education.

Other Resources:

naces.org

aice-eval.org

We’ll connect you to a financial services advisor to help determine the best funding options for you.

Prior to starting class, you will complete an online orientation, which is geared toward helping you navigate the different tools and resources, and ensure you are set up for success within your program.

For some programs, students also engage in a virtual one-on-one meet and greet with their program director, posing a unique opportunity for our team to hear about your learning goals, review your schedule and get your questions answered prior to you starting your program.

You can do this, and we can help! Students like yourself typically find success in class by:

  • Meeting deadlines
  • Following through on assignments
  • Communicating effectively with instructors
  • Managing time wisely
  • Contacting student services when serious barriers arise
  • Being resourceful in finding solutions
  • Cultivating resilience in the face of challenges
