Pima Medical Institute has officially opened a San Antonio campus. The first in the San Antonio market, this marks the 18th campus for the medical career college.

Founded in Tucson, Ariz. in 1972, Pima Medical’s mission is to improve the quality of people’s lives by providing the best value in medical career education. The school has two other campuses in Texas – El Paso and Houston, as well as locations across the western United States in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Montana and Washington State.

With more than 125,000 graduates to date, Pima Medical Institute has become a trusted provider of quality education. Pima Medical’s students are some of the most qualified professionals in their fields and are often employed at preferred hospitals, clinics and facilities in their communities.

Keever Jankovich will lead the new campus. Jankovich joined Pima Medical Institute in 2013 and has been a campus director at several locations, including the El Paso campus which was opened in 2017, and continues to thrive.

“I’m very proud of the team for pulling together and getting this campus ready to go,” said Jankovich. “We are excited to open our doors to students who will experience hands-on learning in lab classrooms designed to mimic real-world settings. Once students complete their coursework, they go on to an externship, earning valuable career experience before they graduate.”

The San Antonio campus is located right off the 410 and Interstate 10 West Interchange, in the heart of the medical center district.

“Pima Medical has been focused on educating knowledgeable healthcare professionals since it was founded more than 45 years ago,” said Pima Medical Institute President and CEO Fred Freedman. “Our move to San Antonio will now bring that expertise and opportunity to residents here. It’s a great opportunity for us to provide students with a learning environment that truly prepares them for more than a job – when our students leave, they’re prepared for a meaningful career in the growing and competitive field of healthcare.”

Pima Medical’s San Antonio campus currently offers six certificate programs including Dental Assistant, Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy Technician and Veterinary Assistant as well as online programs.
