This year marks the 50th anniversary for Pima Medical Institute. Back in 1972, founders Dick Luebke Sr., and his wife JoAnn opened the first campus in Tucson, Arizona. Back then, the only program was nursing assistant. Now, Pima Medical boasts more than 30 programs, all focused in the healthcare fields of medical, dental and veterinary.
Pima Medical institute has dedicated itself to the success of its students from the very beginning. Our instructors and staff are committed to providing the best value in medical career education, and students will have the support they need from enrollment through to graduation and throughout their entire professional career.
Real-world training and a student-centric approach to learning has been at the forefront of Pima Medical’s mission, since first opening the doors of the Tucson campus so long ago. Real-world lab classrooms and respected faculty and staff with years of experience provide students the experience of training through scenarios that they will experience themselves during externship and ultimately their career. While Pima Medical and its students were forced to shift to distance learning at the height of the global pandemic, instructors and staff remained dedicated to providing students with the in-demand education employers expect.
While Pima Medical is now fully back on campus, the career college recognized that some students thrive in a hybrid-learning environment, and earlier this year launched hybrid options, for most certificate programs at most campuses. Pima Medical strives to meet students where they learn best, and this hybrid option offers students an additional approach to earning their certificate. Pima Medical also offers 100% online bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. These programs are aimed at busy professionals who want to advance their skills and career, but also need flexibility to balance their commitments.
So, whether a student is starting out in a certificate program, or looking for a degree, Pima Medical can provide a pathway to a rewarding career in healthcare.
Most of our certificate programs can be completed in less than a year. Students can earn an associate degree in two years or less, and many can complete a bachelor’s degree in about the same time. Pima Medical’s programs are accelerated and prepare students for the workforce fast.
Since that first class of Nursing Assistant students walked through the doors back 1972, Pima Medical Institute has grown to become a trusted provider of quality education, with 16 campuses throughout the western United States, and a robust online program. Our students are respected as some of the most qualified professionals in their fields, and are often employed at preferred hospitals, clinics and facilities in their communities.
Each year, thousands of students find success at Pima Medical Institute and reach their career goals. We encourage you to become part of the Pima Medical community, where you can realize your dream of being a healthcare professional.
